About this position:

Geronimo Energy is seeking an intern to join its Operations team for the summer of 2019. She or he will perform tasks essential to the day-to-day operations, will lead specific projects that have a real impact, and present on their experience to Geronimo leadership staff at the end of the summer. Through gaining hands-on operations and field experience, the intern will walk away with “real world experience” and a better understanding of the ins and outs of the renewable energy industry.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop the Operations SharePoint site and managing updates.
  • Update operations policies and procedures to include SharePoint links.
  • Update contract information and compliance tasks in Geronimo’s asset management software.
  • Put all new project contracts and commitments into Geronimo’s asset management software.
  • Develop a checklist template for the transition from construction to operations in the Geronimo’s project management software.
  • Develop a checklist template for the acquisitions in the Geronimo’s project management software.
  • Developing and finalizing the vegetation management and stormwater contracts for upcoming community solar projects.
  • Organize turnover documents.
  • Organize engineering drawing system.
  • Assist with asset management reporting.

  • Interest in renewable energy, electricity markets, operations and/or engineering
  • College student or recent graduate with a degree in operations management, business, computer information systems, engineering, environmental science, or economics.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to remote wind and solar energy sites.

Compensation

$15 per hour, 40 hours per week.
