About this position:

Geronimo Energy is seeking an intern to join its Project Origination team for the summer of 2019. She or he will perform tasks essential to success of the company as they assist the Sr. Director of Origination in identifying and providing a competitive analysis of new markets for Geronimo Energy. The work of this intern will have a real impact in the firm, and the intern will present on their experience to Geronimo leadership staff at the end of the summer. The individual will walk away with developed skills in project due diligence, corporate communication, and a better understanding of the ins and outs of the renewable energy industry and markets.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide competitive analysis with regards to wind and solar projects in key markets.
  • Tracking process on due diligence upon researching acquisition projects.
  • Assist with new market analysis and new project initiation.
  • Manage relationships with potential project acquisitions, developers, business partners and landowner associations.
  • Interact as an interface with the GIS department and origination team.
  • Actively participate in Project Origination monthly meetings and other brainstorming sessions.
  • Act as a liaison with all subject matter experts on carrying out our Project Origination process.
  • Assist with memo’s and reporting to Executive Management.
  • Administrative support activities, such as mailings, as applicable.

  • Seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree(s) in Business, Economics, Environmental Sciences, Public Relations, Agriculture, GIS or related field.

Compensation

$15 per hour, 40 hours per week.
