About this position:

Geronimo Energy is seeking an intern to join its growing Accounting team for the summer of 2019. She or he will perform direct daily accounting functions related to the general ledger, corporate credit card management, expense reporting software and billing/accounts payable, will lead specific projects that have a real impact, and present on their experience to Geronimo leadership staff at the end of the summer. The intern will learn fast in a changing and growing company and will take away “real world experience” and a better understanding of the renewable energy industry.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Use expense reporting software and assist in the timely completion of reports.
  • Manage time-reporting functions for employees.
  • Reconcile transactions.
  • Compute and complete journal entries.
  • Complete monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and credit card statements.
  • Maintain daily general ledger work relating to transactions through accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal transactions.
  • Develop and implement new processes to enable company growth.
  • Create and bill internal subsidiaries and external companies.
  • Aid in tax form preparation and audit completion.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.

Compensation

$15 per hour, 40 hours per week.
