About this position:

Geronimo Energy is seeking an intern to join its Distributed Generation team in the development of solar energy for the summer of 2019. This intern will learn the ins and outs of the renewable energy industry and understand how it fits into the electricity we use every day. The candidate will have the opportunity to research topic of his/her choice throughout term of internship and present research in a capstone-style format, all while performing tasks essential to the day-to-day operations of the firm. This is the perfect blend of academic-style research and “real-world” application to supplement any undergraduate education.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing tasks essential to the development of solar projects including:
    • Preparing interconnection applications.
    • Researching utility tariffs.
    • Coordinating landowner correspondence.
    • Site selection and screening.
  • One full-cycle research project to present on a subject of interest which is decided upon between the intern and supervisor.

Compensation

$15 per hour, 40 hours per week.
